Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect personal information and sensitive data, including encryption, secure access controls, and regular security reviews. These measures are designed to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, misuse, alteration, or destruction of data.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through our Services. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk.

Protection of Sensitive Data and Google User Data

Optexity takes the protection of sensitive personal data and Google user data seriously. We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect such data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

These safeguards include:

  • Encryption in transit and at rest
All data transmitted between our Services and users or third-party providers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). Sensitive data, including OAuth tokens and access credentials, is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption algorithms.
  • Access controls and least-privilege enforcement
Access to personal data and Google user data is restricted to authorized personnel only and granted strictly on a need-to-know basis. Internal access is logged and monitored.
  • OAuth token handling
OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens are stored securely and are never shared with third parties except as required to provide the requested functionality.
  • No human review of Google user data
Google user data (including email data and metadata) is processed automatically by our systems and is not accessed or reviewed by humans, except when required for security, legal compliance, or user-initiated support requests.
  • Data minimization
We only request and process the minimum scope of data required to provide our Services. We do not use Google user data for advertising or for training generalized machine learning models.
  • Incident response and monitoring
We maintain monitoring and logging systems to detect unauthorized access and have procedures in place to respond to and mitigate security incidents.

Despite these measures, no system can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Google API Services User Data

Optexity’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We only use Google user data to provide or improve user-facing features explicitly requested by the user. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties except as necessary to operate the Service or comply with legal obligations.

Data Retention

We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information, the purposes for which we process your personal information, and applicable legal requirements.

Upon user request or account termination, we delete or anonymize stored personal data and Google user data within a commercially reasonable period, unless retention is required by law.
